Ford is releasing details today of its $4.5 billion drive to field no fewer than 13 new electric and/or hybrid electric vehicles globally in the next five years. The eye-catcher is a hybrid-electric police car, said to be the first hybrid ever to be pursuit-rated.

Propane Autogas Vehicle Sales Increase 8%

Sales of propane autogas-fueled vehicles increased 8% to 14,000 in 2016 compared to the year before, according to data from the Propane Education and Research Council.

Most of the new electricity generating capacity in 2016 came from wind, solar & natural gas

More than 27 gigawatts (GW) of electricity generating capacity was added to the U.S. power grid during 2016, the largest amount of added capacity since 2012. These additions more than offset the retirement of roughly 12 GW of capacity, resulting in a net capacity gain of nearly 15 GW, the largest change since 2011.
