Save The Date! Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) is proud to broadcast an event put on by Rural Action, an Ohio based organization, with the mission to “build a more just economy by developing the region’s assets in environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable ways”.
The event that they are putting on, “Appalachian Clean Transportation Forum”, on November 17 and 18th, is a clean transportation forum, where “ industry leaders, transportation service providers, policymakers, mobility managers and advocates will gather virtually to discuss innovative rural mobility strategies with transportation experts from around the state and region”.
The first day of the event, November 17th, Rural Action and other event participants will be “setting the stage” on the topic of rural mobility, introducing ACT and ROADMAP, and covering various transportation policy models, priorities, and outlooks. The second day, November 18th, will focus on mobility management innovations, incentives for electrification, and virtual ride and drive. This program includes some vehicle electrification efforts by Rural Action.
