Webinar: EV Leasing – A Solution for Public Agencies to Save Money
Guest Speakers: National Cooperative Leasing & the City of Des Moines
Wednesday, May 20
(2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET)
With the impact of COVID-19, cities and public agencies are looking for new ways to electrify their fleets. Join the Electrification Coalition’s Climate Mayors EV Purchasing Collaborative and the City of Des Moines, IA, for a webinar to learn how to save money by leasing electric vehicles for your fleet. Brian Bennett, the fleet manager for Des Moines, will discuss his experiences and the City’s decision-making process to lease EVs.
Through one of its vendors, National Cooperative Leasing, the Collaborative has created a public agency leasing program to help reduce the upfront capital costs of electric vehicles. Leasing will be especially beneficial in the coming months as budgets are cut and cities face potential economic hardships. Electric vehicles have a lower total cost of ownership than traditional gas vehicles, and the Electrification Coalition can help fleets calculate the economic benefits of EVs.
Webinar: Electric Street Sweepers – Benefits and Financing
Guest Speakers: Global Environmental Products & Madvac
Wednesday, May 27
(2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET)
The Climate Mayors EV Purchasing Collaborative recently added two street sweeper vendors to the platform to help cities further electrify their fleets. Join this webinar to hear from Global Environmental Products and Madvac about their products, the benefits, and how you can take advantage of the contracts available through the Collaborative. The speakers will give examples of public fleets utilizing their vehicles and how to help fund them, and the Electrification Coalition will provide additional information on the technical assistance available through the Collaborative.
Electric street sweepers reduce operational costs and harmful emissions compared to a diesel-powered sweeper. In addition, they operate more quietly, which means increased flexibility when scheduling sweeping tasks and reduced overall operational noise.
