Energy Efficiency Workforce Coordinator, Virginia Department of Energy, $65,000 – $80,000

Do you have experience in workforce development? Are you interested in helping increase the size and diversity of the energy efficiency workforce in the Commonwealth? Do you enjoy working with a variety of partners to make progress toward a shared goal? Then look no further! The Virginia Department of Energy is seeking an Energy Efficiency Workforce Coordinator to manage the agency’s energy efficiency workforce development programs. These new programs, which seek to create a ready workforce to complete high-demand residential energy efficiency projects, are federally funded from sources including the Inflation Reduction Act’s Training Residential Energy Contractors (TREC) program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for convening a workforce development advisory group, establishing and maintaining partnerships with a wide set of public and private entities, procuring and managing contracted program support, managing program budgets, conducting federal compliance activities, and completing other activities required to successfully manage state-sponsored workforce programs.
