Electric Vehicle Charging Assistance Program (EVCAP)

Join us on January 10th, 2024, at 3:00 PM for an insightful webinar hosted by Virginia Energy and Virginia Clean Cities, shedding light on the EV Charger Assistance Program. This program offers grants tailored for EV charging vendors or collaborative initiatives between governmental bodies and technology providers.
Distinguished speakers for this event include:

- Erin Puryear from Old Dominion Electric Cooperative
- Amy Posner from the City of Alexandria, Virginia
- Alleyn Harned from Virginia Clean Cities
The initiative aims to facilitate the installation of EV chargers, focusing on evaluating and quantifying the advantages within underserved communities. Participants are encouraged to leverage additional funding, although it’s not mandatory. Preference in site selection will be given to brownfields, including previously mined lands. Our scope encompasses all areas in Virginia, with a specific focus on disadvantaged and rural communities, aligning with the Justice 40 criteria.
The grant offers a substantial funding pool of up to $1,100,000, with sub-awards potentially reaching $400,000. The window for proposals for the initial round of funding remains open until February 16, 2024.
