Alliance AutoGas to Showcase New & Proven Technologies at the NPGA Southeastern Convention

April 8, 2019

April 8th, 2019 – Swannanoa, NC – Attendees of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) Southeastern Convention, April 13th – 15th in Atlanta, GA, can visit booth #122 in the Autogas Pavilion to experience a wide variety of products that Alliance AutoGas has to offer propane industry fleets interested in converting their vehicles to use their own fuel.

There will be two autogas vehicles in the booth: a 2019 Ford F150 and a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500. The Ford F150 will feature Alliance’s port fueled direct injection (PFDI) technology, first introduced at the 2018 NTEA Work Truck Expo. The Alliance Engineered System is still the first and only aftermarket technology of its kind available to the marketplace today. The Chevy Silverado 1500, released at this year’s NTEA Expo in Indianapolis, IN, has been equipped with the latest Prins technology and is estimated to average a reduction of 58 tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the vehicle’s lifetime. Representatives from Staubli, one of the leading manufacturers of quick connector systems worldwide, will also be present to showcase their quick-connect nozzle technology. Show specials will be available in the booth for those ready to commit to converting their vehicles or purchase the nozzle technology pre-2020, when NFPA 58 states that all converted or manufactured autogas vehicles after January 1, 2020 must utilize quick-connect K15 technology. For those interested in converting their fleets, Alliance AutoGas has obtained EPA certifications for multiple propane industry vehicles, including the Ford F150, the Ford F250/350 service truck, the Ford F450/550 service/tank set truck, the Ford F650/750 bobtail delivery truck, and the Chevy 2500/3500 service truck.

The benefits to those in the propane industry investing in their own fuel are numerous. Not only does autogas use provide credibility to propane companies, through operating their vehicles on the same fuel that they provide to their customers, but companies also receive the benefit of rebranding as “green” due the substantial reductions in emissions such as CO2, particulate matter, and NOx. They will also be drastically lowering their fuel and maintenance expenses and utilizing easier and more convenient refueling options when compared to gasoline and diesel.

Those currently using autogas in their fleet are touting the positive results. Elizabeth McCormick, of Phillips Energy, said “Phillips Energy has been thrilled with the performance, fuel savings and safety we have witnessed in choosing Alliance AutoGas and the Prins system to run clean burning, American-produced propane autogas in our F550 service trucks!  We are also proud to be doing our part to help the environment.” Another Alliance customer, Brian Green of Green’s Blue Flame Gas Company, echoed the same sentiments. “Even before the formation of Alliance AutoGas, we have always been advocates of the Prins Autogas System and used this system on most of our fleet vehicles. Alliance AutoGas enhanced an already great product by modularizing the system, resulting in simpler installation and maintenance. Having an autogas system that is simple to work on after installation is paramount because this decreases the amount of downtime the vehicle has over its life span.”

In addition to their booth in the Autogas Pavilion, Alliance will also be participating in a panel on Sunday, April 14th at the Convention. The panel is titled “Autogas Dispensing Equipment: Myth vs. Fact” and will cover the myths, facts, and ease of successfully maintaining autogas dispensing equipment. Those interested in the feasibility of refueling an autogas fleet are welcome to attend. Speakers on the panel include David Kennedy of Alliance AutoGas, Jim Bunsey of Superior Energy Systems, Mark Denton of Blossman Gas, and John Barnett of U-Haul. The panel will be from 9-10AM located in Building A, Room 313.
