NGVi is offering 12 scholarships to their 2020 public offerings of their CNG Fuel System Inspector Training. This scholarship is only being offered to CNG fleet and dealership management personnel responsible for determining the training needs of their technicians.

Applications are due by January 31, 2020.

VCC awarded $1.84 million EPA grant to address air pollution

HARRISONBURG – A new million dollar grant partnership is working to address air pollution in the Shenandoah Valley and the Mid-Atlantic region.

Virginia Clean Cities at James Madison University received a $1.84 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to work with UPS on replacing 69 diesel tractor-trailer trucks in the Mid-Atlantic region with trucks that use either cleaner domestically produced compressed natural gas or newer, cleaner diesel engines, according to a release.

State agencies and local governments in specific air quality non-attainment, ozone attainment and/or maintenance areas may be reimbursed for incremental costs to transition to alternative fuels such as natural gas or propane autogas. Reimbursements are up to an average of $10,000 for the incremental cost of new vehicles or reasonable aftermarket conversions.
