Electric Vehicle Program Director – RES Energy Institute

West Virginia University Research Office is currently accepting applications for an Electric Vehicle Program Director with the Energy Institute.

As an Electric Vehicle Program Director, you will be responsible for assisting with strategic planning and development of, and then executing, the NAFTC’s AFV/EV education, training, and outreach mission. While the incumbent is expected to embrace all alternative fuels, the incumbent will have a particular focus on EVs, including assisting with setting program direction, creating growth through member recruitment, securing funding from federal sources and other sponsors through proposal development and submission, and performing project management of the resulting awards. The incumbent will work with NAFTC members and other transportation stakeholders nationwide to develop and implement EV education, training programs, and related outreach to promote EVs and develop the new workforce that will be needed to advance electrification of over-the-road transportation systems. The incumbent is expected to network with NAFTC members and with OEMs, auto dealerships, independent automotive repair facilities, trade unions, Clean Cities organizations, federal and state agencies, and other stakeholders to promote EV growth and respond to workforce needs. Citizen Energy: EV Outreach & Education Coordinator

Citizen Energy (CE) was founded in 2012 with a vision to bring people together to build a 100% clean energy economy. Through our electric vehicle (EV) Charging as-a-Service solution, we accelerate the adoption of EVs and deploy charging infrastructure at no cost to site hosts. Our experienced team engineers, finances, installs, and manages a nationwide EV charging stations network. CE prioritizes engaging underserved communities and helps consumers make the switch to EVs, save at least 50% in fuel costs and reduce pollution in their communities.

CE recently formed a partnership with the General Motors Climate Equity Fund, IDEAS for Us, and GreenLatinos on a new exciting initiative to deploy charging infrastructure and implement outreach/education for Latino communities in the state of Maryland. CE is recruiting for a fulltime bilingual Outreach and Education Coordinator. The position requires local travel, and visiting project sites, with a CE-provided electric vehicle. Above all, this position requires an “all hands on deck” mindset to meet aggressive deadlines and help prove the viability of the initiative.

The hiring range is $45,000 to $60,000 (commensurate with experience). Based in Maryland/DC region, with teleworking opportunities.

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative: Clean Energy Programs Intern

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative is one of Virginia’s largest distribution cooperatives, providing electric service to 170,000 members across 22 counties in Virginia. The Energy Solutions and Clean Energy department is responsible for electric transportation, energy efficiency, demand response, and residential solar programs. REC seeks a summer intern to develop new programs and assist in the launch of a new energy efficiency program for REC members.

You will help develop future clean energy programs for REC’s residential, small commercial, and industrial members. You will help develop new initiatives related to clean energy solutions. About this Role

This position is available for current undergraduate students who are rising college juniors or seniors with experience and interest in the energy industry. Candidates must be a current student with good academic standing (3.0 GPA and above).
