CIT introduces FY21 funding opportunity for promising Virginia companies

Center for Innovative Technology is excited to announce the Commonwealth Commercialization Fund (CCF) FY 21 solicitation, which grants up to $100,000 of their $7m fund to young Virginia companies with promising technologies. CIT’s goal: accelerate commercialization and drive economic growth in Virginia by empowering you.

Funding this round will support product or service development, market research, IP protection, marketing, pilots, and more. CCF will invite projects in seven targeted industries:

  • Agricultural and environmental  technologies
  • Autonomous systems
  • Clean Energy
  • Cyber Security 
  • Data science and analytics
  • Life and health science
  • Space and satellites 

The Request for Proposal will be issued this month until February 8th and will include guidelines and other resources. Interested companies are encouraged to register for an upcoming virtual briefing session and to sign up to receive future announcements.
