2022 Virginia Green Travel Star Awards

April 25 - April 26

  • « Front Royal Earth Day Celebration
  • Technology Happy Hour: Cummins »

Since 2010, the Virginia Green Star Awards have been given annually to the GREENEST tourism businesses in the Commonwealth. Typically, more than 30 businesses and individuals are recognized at the annual Virginia Green Travel Conference, which is scheduled to take place on April 25-26, 2022.

AWARD CATEGORIES FOR THIS YEAR INCLUDE:

  • Greenest Program of the Year. We typically recognize partners in at least 12+ sector categories — for instance, “greenest restaurant of the year”…

  • Most Innovative Green Projects — what cool green projects have you worked on this year? Reduction of single use plastics, composting, reusable take-out ware, herb gardens, LED lighting, clean-ups, electric vehicle charging, solar, green cleaners — share with us!

  • Green Team All-Stars — a great opportunity to recognize your individual staff members who go above-and-beyond!

  • Green Travel Leaders for award-worthy businesses who are “runner-ups” in various categories.

…and this year, we will conducting a “people’s choice award” contest for your customers to become engaged with the awards process! More details to come on this, but you need to apply for one of the other awards first to participate in the people’s choice.
