Fuel savings workshop for First Responder Vehicles

On February 28, 2018, the North Carolina Clean Energy Center for Automotive Research (310 Technology Drive, Garysburg, NC) hosts an alternative fuel and clean transportation technology session for law enforcement, fire & rescue, and emergency medical services. This is an opportunity to learn about available technologies that can save money, improve efficiency and extend vehicle service life.
Technology includes propane, natural gas, plug in hybrids, and idle reduction technology, that can all reduce fuel costs. All fuels in Virginia that cost far less per gallon than gasoline and diesel. Several first responder fleets in Virginia are operating vehicles on the clean alternative fuels identified in this effort.
