Grant Funding Available for Fleet Vehicle Conversionsl to Propane

The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy and Virginia Clean Cities at James Madison University are currently seeking proposals from fleets in the Southeastern U.S. that are interested in converting 10 or more of their eligible gasoline vehicles to run on propane autogas engine fuel.

This funding assistance is available under the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program (SPADP). Fleets interested in converting vehicles to propane autogas with this project can learn more about the funding opportunity by visiting the Request for Proposal (RFP) page on the Program website at The RFP announcement and Narrative File Application can be downloaded from the website.

This project provides the funding to cover the full cost of conversion, including parts and labor. Both public and private fleets in the following states are encouraged to apply: Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and Mississippi, and the District of Columbia.
