DOE Announces $59 Million to Expand Biofuels Production and Decarbonize Transportation Sector

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced $59 million to accelerate the production of biofuels and bioproducts to reduce emissions in hard-to-decarbonize sectors and create good-paying jobs in rural America. DOE is focused on applied research, development, and deployment to improve the performance and reduce the cost of biofuel production technologies and scale-up production systems in partnership with industry. Read the Virginia Transportation Electrification Stakeholder Report

In 2021, House Bill 2282 was signed into law which directed the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) to report on policy proposals to accelerate transportation electrification in the Commonwealth. After a thorough public process, conducted by a third party organization took place in 2021, the SCC posted the final report on its website.

mPhase Selects First 11 Electric Vehicle Charging Sites in Virginia

mPhase Technologies Inc., a technology company developing the mPower EV+ (electric vehicle) charging network and consumer engagement platform, has completed site selection for the first 11 mPower EV charging locations in the State of Virginia.
