Virginia Clean Cities will co-present an Advanced Fuel Management Seminar in conjunction with some of the leading companies in fuel management systems and services. Attendance is free and it will be held June 17th in the Alexandria Mark Center Hilton. Click here for the flyer and agenda.

Clean Cities hosted the Tidewater Area Fleet Manager’s Association monthly meeting June 16th from noon to 2:00 pm in the Potomac River and York rooms at the Old Dominion University Webb Center. The focus was biodiesel, the state of biodiesel, supply chain, use and implementation, quality control, specifications and manufacturer support, and incentives and funding programs. We would like to introduce our new intern, Jamison Walker. As the basis for his part-time internship, he took on the data acquisition and analysis part of our Anti-idling pilot project in Virginia Beach and Gloucester County school systems, which will also serve as his senior thesis. Find out more about the anti-idling project under the Cleaner Transportation Options tab.

Virginia Clean Cities hosted a comprehensive one-day workshop for public and private fleet operators and clean-air/clean transportation policymakers.  This event was co-hosted by the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation, the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, the Department of Environmental Quality, and James Madison University.

On May 20th,  Virginia Clean Cities co-hosted an Alternative Fuels Workshop with the national trade associations of the alternative fuels industry. The event was held in Chantilly, VA at the headquarters of TV Worldwide. There were a wide range of presentations from experts in several alternative fuels including propane, ethanol, CNG, and biodiesel.
