On October 28th, Virginia Clinicians for Climate Action released a report on Virginia Particulate matter (PM2.5) from transportation emissions. VCCA’s report discusses the adverse impacts of transportation pollution to Virginia’s health and the state’s economy. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is now accepting applications to fund all-electric projects to reduce air pollution and mitigate climate change through the new Clean Air Communities Program. Through this competitive grant process, DEQ will award $20 million to government entities from its share of the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust.
