ROUSH CleanTech unveiled its newest carbon footprint-friendly vehicle — an all-electric Ford F-650. The company, which includes propane autogas and compressed natural gas in its technology portfolio, expands its alternative fuel market with zero-emission electric vehicles.

Tesla Charging Stations on the Horizon for Williamsburg

The Williamsburg Economic Development Authority Board of Directors reviewed the progress of its partnership with Tesla and selected a winner of its 2018 Business Appreciation Award its Wednesday meeting.

Talks with Tesla to install electric car charging stations throughout the city began last March, with plans to put chargers in high-traffic public spaces throughout the city. The high-tech luxury car manufacturer has approved five locations including the North Henry Street Parking Garage, and will provide $1500 per charger in installation costs.

GRTC to unveil CNG-powered Pulse bus service on June 24th

The wait will soon be over for the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) Pulse project.

On Monday, GRTC announced that the “modern, high quality, high capacity rapid transit system” will begin service on June 24.

The 7.6-mile route runs along Broad Street and Main Street, from Rocketts Landing in the City of Richmond to Willow Lawn in Henrico County. It will link the public to many destinations, businesses, services and restaurants.

$40 Million in 2018 Clean Diesel Funding Now Available

EPA anticipates awarding approximately  $40 million in competitive grant funding for the Diesel Emissions Reductions Act (DERA) Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program. The Program is soliciting proposals nationwide for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution produced and exposure, particularly from fleets operating in areas designated by the Administrator as poor air quality areas.
